Re: salutations de l'Italie
'come on board Matteo,
i think you should find here good specialists and advice on the technical and equipment for seabass fisheries with softbaits, perhaps not "the only way" (does it exist ?) but at least the way we do here in Brittany and along the Atlantic coast.
90 cm seabass caught by myself with a "Black minnow" soft bait some years ago on an Rainshadow blank, catch and release :

Re: salutations de l'Italie
Thank you everyone for your kind wellcome!
Thank you Goulven for your advices. I know that soft bait is not "the only way", but I believe is profitable one!
I fish in the Mediterranean, which I guess is different from the Atlantic, but even here there are sea bass and, therefore, I think that the techniques used by you can work also here.
I caught some sea bass (6/7 kg) to a depth of about 25-30 meters. I used the longline and now I would like to try fishing with a rod (because so I can release the fish).
How deep do you fish?
What weight should soft baits have?
Do you anchor the boat or do you fish on drift?
Do you keep the engine on or off?
Sorry for the many questions but I would like to figure out how to get started!
See you soon
